Alpacas

We have quite a few alpacas but in 2018 we rescued a handful that were on their way to a meat auction in North Carolina. They are timid and curious animals but also very gentle and kind. Our alpacas always join us for our Barnyard Yoga classes outside under the pavilion. Alpacas do require a lot of special care as their fleece needs shorn each spring. We have someone who comes all the way from Australia to do this for us. It’s quite expensive to keep up with their care so we ask you please consider a monthly donation in their behalf.

You can’t take the alpacas home, but you can donate monthly to their care by participating in our Adopt an Animal program. Or, contribute to their care just this once. Any little bit helps!
