About Axl
Axl is a draft horse who was rescued in late 2017. He is a very big boy and stands 17 hands high! He is definitely our biggest eater on the farm and can finish 3 hay bales a day! When we rescued him, he had been an Amish plow horse his whole life. Unfortunately, he was overworked and underfed. The vet said he was a good 700 lbs underweight when we got him! Axl is our largest eater and needs special vet care as well as farrier care. This makes him quite expensive to care for. Please consider a monthly donation in his behalf so he can live a happy restful life on the farm!
